What they get
- A real, visible star that isn’t named with us yet
- A page you can share with family
- A PDF certificate with a QR code back to the star
- Optional email — only if you want someone to receive it that way
- Your receipt. Nothing ships
This is a keepsake, not a claim on the sky. You\u2019re giving a name on a real star and a page people can return to. You\u2019re not assigning a fate, a guardian, or an official catalog entry.
Stellara names are commemorative. The IAU is the only official namer of stars. Is naming a star real?

Questions
Is this for the baby or for the parents?
Either. You name the star; you decide whose name goes on the page and who (if anyone) gets the reveal email.
Will you email the family?
Only if the buyer opts in and enters an address. We never guess a recipient.
Is the name official?
No. Official names come from the IAU. This is a commemorative gift: a real star, a page, a certificate. Read more
Can I include it in a birth announcement?
Yes. Share the page link or print the PDF. We don’t mail cards.
Do I have to pick a star myself?
No. /gift picks a visible unnamed star. Use /browse only if you want a specific one.
How much?
$29. Digital only.
