Star naming through Stellara is a symbolic and commemorative service. The International Astronomical Union (IAU) is the only internationally recognized authority that can officially name celestial objects. Names registered through Stellara are personal dedications and are not recognized by the scientific community.

Your star registration represents a personal gift, memorial, or dedication. It does not confer any ownership rights, scientific recognition, or official astronomical designation.

2. Service Description

When you register a star through Stellara, you receive:

• A unique star page with 3D visualization
• A downloadable digital certificate
• The ability to add a personal dedication
• Permanent access to your star's page

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Stellara to:

• Submit content that is obscene, offensive, defamatory, or illegal
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others

Stellara reserves the right to remove any content that violates these terms.

4. Content Moderation

All star names and dedications are subject to moderation. We reserve the right to reject or remove content that we determine, in our sole discretion, to be inappropriate, offensive, or in violation of these terms.

5. Accuracy of Information

Star data in our database is sourced from the Hipparcos catalog and other astronomical databases. While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee the precision of astronomical data, including coordinates, distances, and spectral classifications.

6. Limitation of Liability

Stellara is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of our service.

7. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Stellara after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
