• Account Information: Email address, name, and password (hashed)
• Buyer Email: The address we send receipts and certificates to. It is not shown on public star pages.
• Star Registration Data: Star names, dedications, and recipient information
• Usage Data: How you interact with our service

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain Stellara services
• Create and display star pages and certificates
• Communicate with you about your account
• Improve our services

3. Public Information

Star pages are publicly accessible. Information displayed on star pages includes:

• Star name
• Recipient name
• Dedication message
• Registration date

Email addresses are never displayed publicly.

4. Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data. Passwords are stored using industry-standard hashing. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Star registrations are permanent as part of the service offering.

You have the right to:

• Request deletion of your account

7. Cookies

We use cookies for authentication and session management; these are essential for the operation of our service. If analytics is enabled, PostHog also sets a first-party cookie to recognise repeat visits. We do not use advertising cookies.

8. Third-Party Services

We share data only with the providers needed to run Stellara:

• Stripe processes payments. Card details go directly to Stripe and never reach our servers.
• Resend delivers receipts, reminders and reveal emails.
• PostHog provides product analytics (page views and funnel events).
• Railway and Neon host the application and database.

Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy and our agreement with it. We do not sell personal data.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page.
